Many of my beautiful summer blooms have either played out or on the brink of seasonal extinction. However, several of them are still thriving despite the scorching outdoor temperatures we've had the past few weeks. The Monarda, Shrimp Plant, Lantana, Verbena, Tecoma, Bougainvillea, a few Zinnias and the Bat-Face Cuphea are some of the blooms that remain. How fortunate for the hummingbirds because they enjoy most of these...

ReplyDeleteI had no idea that hummingbirds liked shrimp plants! Definitely going to plant some next spring. I've also been told that firebush is popular with hummers, so gonna try that, too. Our lantana is going crazy this year; it's practically taking over the flower bed. Anyway, a lovely set of blooms! Thank you for sharing them. :)
ReplyDeleteI love scarlet monarda! I always used to grow it before we came here. Love your yellow bougainvillea too! All your flowers are gorgeous...great photos!
